Peppermint Leaf (Mentha piperita)
Peppermint is considered the king of the menthol family and can be distinguished from spearmint by its uniformly stalked leaves, larger flowers and cool, aromatic scent and taste. The most powerful of the mint family, peppermint has antispasmodic and stomach-healing abilities. Peppermint first appeared as an herbal remedy in Grandfather Lei’s Discussion of Herb Preparation. Since then, it has been used in treatments for minor ailments, such as fever, headache, cough and sore throat to more serious ailments such as stomach cancer, tumors and gynecological problems.

In addition, peppermint oil has been proven to carry oxygen throughout the blood-stream while cleansing and strengthening the entire body.
